I recently watched WALL-E, the Pixar animated film. If you haven’t seen this, you have to. It is certainly the best Pixar film made yet, and is possibly the best animated film ever made by any studio. Even more, it is one of the best love stories ever committed to film, with or without live actors.  Simply stated, this is a great film. It pays homage to everything from Star Wars, to Silent Running, to 2001: A Space Odyssey (right down to an evil robot), to musicals and silent classics from Hollywood’s past . No one is more surprised than I am to discover how good this movie is. You can watch the trailer (and other clips) here. Do yourself a favor: get this movie. Now.
