You know that the government is out of control when a person become suspicious for carrying cash (without other questionable facts). Also a sign of trouble: when law enforcement says “if you’ve done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear.” Finally, when law enforcement detains citizen because they are so impolite as to ask what their rights are, this is bad.  You have everything to fear when a citizen cannot travel without (i) showing the right “papers” and (ii) can be questioned without cause about anything that he or she is carrying and is detained if they decline to answer.  Honestly, it is time for some simple rationality in this country. Listen to the recording of the TSA made by the victim, who politely questions whether he is required to make an explanation of where he got the money.  He was returning home after a Ron Paul event. Here is my question: how does one use cash as a weapon on a plane?  (h/t BoingBoing)
