What a trio. On Friday, New Gingrich, Mike Huckabee and Oliver North (!, when was the last time he was in the news), jointly delivered a talk titled “Rediscovering God in America.”  I thought there was no problem finding God among these eminent thinkers and their followers and therefore no need for such a lecture. But apparently the freedom to believe is not enough for these gentlemen. There must be universal agreement that American citizenship flows directly from (their) God:

GINGRICH: I am not a citizen of the world. I am a citizen of the United States because only in the United States does citizenship start with our creator. [...] I think this is one of the most critical moments in American history. We are living in a period where we are surrounded by paganism.
