It seems to me that as certain elements of the Republicans continue to double-down on their efforts to delegitimize Obama, they are actually incurring some serious damage to their party. The party’s popularity is now below what it was when Obama was elected. It might be time for a few “adult” members of the GOP to draw a few lines. Principled criticism should continue; insane and angry claims of Communism, Fascism, and “loss of the country” should cease, for the party’s own survival.
