…the New York Times reports this morning Apple is considering an investment in Twitter.

I don’t see what sense that would make for Apple. They have a solid relationship with Twitter, and Twitter is fully integrated into Apple’s iOS on iPhones/iPads. And with the launch of Mountain Lion this week, Twitter is now fully integrated into OS X as well.

Update: The Wall Street Journal reports a slightly different story. It claims that such talks as have occurred between the two companies were held more than a year ago, and that there are no talks continuing at this time.
